Christopher Presutti is an outstanding Chef with experience in Europe and the USA both in Private Service and as Executive Chef in 5-Star restaurants. With an encyclopedic knowledge of French, Italian and Asian cuisines, Christopher also has outstanding skills in baking, pastry, spa and everyday, healthy cooking.
For many years he was the proprietor of his own business which catered exclusively to Private Clients in their homes, preparing the most notable cuisine of any Private Chef in the area. When an opportunity arose to work and live in Europe, first in Moscow and then in St. Petersburg, he took the chance and went on to have great success, first turning around one restaurant into the most successful privately owned 5-star restaurant in St. Petersburg and then going on to open a very exclusive boutique restaurant for the same group of owners. After 5 years in St. Petersburg he decided it was time to move on.
At present, Christopher once again is working exclusively for Private Clients and taking on short-term positions while he locates the right long-term stable position. In the last few months he has worked in Private residences, on a short-term basis in Las Vegas and Santa Barbara, California. His references include commendation from all areas of his work, both in Private Service and Commercial as well as from other Chefs he has worked with in Private Service.
Christopher’s training began at the Cambridge Culinary Academy but largely comes from working with people at the top of their field. As a young Pastry Chef, Christopher worked with Executive Chef Jody Adams who, during Christopher’s time as her Pastry Chef, was awarded “One of the Best New Chefs in America” by Food and Wine magazine. His restaurant was Michela’s and said to be Julia Child’s favorite restaurant in all her travels.
Recently he has been approached for a number of positions which include Chef on board a luxury yacht, Executive Chef at 5-Star Boutique Hotel in Eastern Europe and a permanent position in Santa Barbara at the Estate of his temporary assignment.
With an amazing ability to “make a situation work”, Christopher can walk into any situation, city or kitchen and create any atmosphere which is called for at the moment, whether it be an outdoor casual grill luncheon or an elegant dinner or weekend for guests. His knowledge of cuisine is unparalleled in Private Service and his ability to create dishes, from fresh pasta, elegant desserts, family favorites, foie gras to chicken salad or an omelet is truly amazing and would make him an asset to any home.
His professional experience has seen him cooking for and catering to the needs of International Sports figures, Business people, Politicians, Entertainment Personalities and US Presidential Candidates. Christopher understands intuitively the need for discretion and has a natural ability to respect the privacy of all his clients and employers. While working as the Private Chef for Mark MacCormack, “Super Agent”, the CEO and Owner of International Management Group in the early ‘90’s, Christopher’s ability to interact with and cater to the needs of an incredibly exclusive level of guests and family friends was honed and is now unequalled by most Chefs in Private Service.
At present, Christopher is searching for a long-term, stable position which might include Estate/House Management duties for a position which might be less demanding in the Kitchen. His experience managing staff and “getting things done no matter what” attitude are invaluable in Private Service. His talents as a Chef and his International experience also recommend him for any position no matter how demanding.
Christopher is available for interview/trial weeks and Short-Term positions at short notice.
