To Whom It May Concern:

Narciso Pinto was one of my ETO’s on board MY Dubai when I joined the vessel as Chief ETO in January 2010.

Narciso Pinto showed a great understanding of the vessels systems covering the engine room, hotel and deck equipment. He also showed a great ability in fault finding and rectifying faults as well as salvaging parts from old redundant equipment and using them to repair other equipment as well as make improvements to existing systems. His resourcefulness in doing this I have very rarely seen before. I have only seen this kind of skill carried out by long time served electricians and for his age he is well advanced in this field.
He also showed a very good understanding of how to prioritise the work he was given and reporting how it was progressing. When completed he always gave a good report on how he carried out that particular task.
He also recognised the needs required dealing with the Owners and Guests on board which often meant working very long hours in preparation and during there stay.
He also understood the Crew needs on board.
As well as this he understood the planned maintenance routines and AMOS system the vessels planned maintenance system and carrying out these tasks when required.

I have no hesitation in recommending Narciso Pinto as an ETO to prospective employers and look forward to sailing with him again in the future.
